6-26-12 Yellow Brick Road

I read in a book years ago called, “From Onions to Pearls”. The author used the metaphor of the “yellow brick road” (he did not call it that, this is the name I used to for own entertainment) for the path/plan that was already laid out in front of us when we arrived on earth for our current human experience. He said, “It doesn’t matter how much you practice or changing your mind in your quest for supreme spirituality, you will not get there until you step on that particular brick.” Each brick represents a passage in our individual process. I took what he said to heart and filed it away in my mind.

Today I believe that I have stepped on one of those bricks. I feel light-hearted, with good will toward everyone. I feel like the practicing I’ve spent years doing changing my mind about what I believe and what I want to believe had set the stage for this new freedom I’m experiencing. Be assured that all my effort would not have produced anything good if it wasn’t for the grace of Jesus Christ and his constant companionship. I have a quiet, warm, happy countenance today and a wish for all mankind to experience this.

Thanks for your support, whoever you are.

6-21-12 Happiness and Integrity

The state of happiness is inter-related with your integrity. What is integrity:

Giving an honest days work for a days pay.
Practicing a likeable attitude in all your endeavors.
Keeping the promises you can keep and asking for
foregiveness on the ones you cannot keep.
Communicating your feelings to promote healthy
                    relationships.
Keeping your judgements to yourself or, even better,
is changing your mind regarding your judgements to purify
                    your thoughts and words.
Be as honest and forthright in all your dealing as you
possibly can. (This one changes as you process).
                    Being respectful to all people.

Your integrity cannot be for sale under any circumstances.

This list is meant to be a starter to your thought processes.  I'm quite sure your list will be much better.

6-11-12 Allowing for help

I remembered a book I read that was written by a person that had a life after death experience. He wrote, while he was out of his body, he was taken on a tour of heaven. While there is witnessed people building a device that he knew the world had never seen before.   After he was brought back into his body and it was some years later, he was reading a scientific magazine about a new very exciting invention which he recognized as the exact same device he witnessed being built in heaven.

Since I read that book, I have a theory that there is a milky way like mass of ideas, inventions, inspiration, music, art, etc. floating above us.  When one of us humans stops the noise of the world for a moment to ask "why" or "I wonder" or just gets silent that a metaphorical split happens in our skull that allows some of the mass to enter our mind and become a new thought process.  This thought process then allows us to accomplish something new for us and something that will benefit our world at large.  It's just my silly theory.

As long as we whirl and dance with the world we are all in, any change that happens for us is ego based. It will benefit you and the world to just take a moment once in a while and step off into eternity which we are all of.  I'm sure you have heard the saying, "We are in this world but not of this world."

All change and improvements that have happened in the world since it's beginning have come for the force that created it.  The timing has been perfect and if some form of destruction does happen, that timing will also be perfect.

I have stated all along in my postings that we are all eternal beings having a human experience. The key word here being "eternal".

Change the world 6-6-12

Taking responsibility for your own happiness is so much larger than just how much happier you are. It also effects the world around you.

The calmer and more peaceful you become not only makes a difference to your family, friends, and co-workers who will notice but can actually change the state of the present world.  You become the voice of reason in this madcapped crazy world.  All you have to do is watch some of the reality TV that is airing. The drama is real people that represent just how crazy this world is.  Wow, it not only makes me sad for each one of them, but even sadder to know the only reason they are on TV is because there is an audience. This can't be good.

You can be the example for peace and a better way of living.  There is the collective thought stream that can be brought to better outcomes and better thinking that you will contribute towards. The disasters of this world can actually be less when the collective thought stream becomes compassionate and healthy.

Our whole purpose to be here in this world at this time is to bring about change. That change starts within each of us but cannot help but spill out to bring about change in the world.  With wars, rumors of wars, genocide, murder, selfishness at a critical state, the break- down of the family unit and distrust in our government the need for change is great. It's seems impossible, but I guarantee that when you begin with yourself, each one of your successes creates a butterfly effect.
